Mentoring
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring people from many walks of life — from university professionals and civil servants to charity workers, community organisers, and those in health and social care. Each mentoring relationship has been a partnership built on trust, curiosity, and the shared desire to grow.
What I’ve learned from working across these sectors is that, regardless of setting, people thrive when they feel heard and supported to find their own path forward. My role as a mentor is to create that space — a place for reflection, challenge, and encouragement — where confidence can grow and new possibilities can take shape.
Whether working one-to-one or with teams, my aim is always the same: to help people reconnect with their purpose, develop their potential, and take practical steps toward meaningful change.
What mentoring looks like
In each of our lives comes moments of uncertainty or ‘stuckness.’ A mentoring partnership helps unpick these grey areas, clarify goals, and better understand any obstacles to be navigated. The mentoring relationship also encourages you to explore (sometimes in the spaces least visited or expected) potential resources, perspectives and systemic alliances so that you can walk with confidence along your chosen journeys.
Supporting Early-Career Growth & Transitions
Starting out in any career can be exciting — and sometimes daunting. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring early-career professionals across organisational settings. Many come to mentoring looking for direction, confidence, or a sense of where they fit in and it’s been inspiring to see how much growth can happen with the right support.
My approach is friendly, reflective, and grounded in real-world experience. Together we explore what motivates you, what challenges you, and what kind of professional you want to become. I offer a space to think things through, build confidence, and turn ideas into action — so you can move forward in your career with purpose and self-belief.
Mentoring and Neurodivergence
Psychoeducation mentoring is at the heart of my work with neurodiverse clients. I love helping people understand the why behind the way they think, feel, and respond so they can navigate their lives and careers with more confidence and less self-doubt. When someone starts to realise “there’s nothing wrong with me, this is just how my brain works,” you can almost feel the pressure lift.
I’ve supported clients across Higher Education, charities, health and social care, community groups, and the Civil Service. No matter the setting, the goal is the same: to offer clear, accessible insight into how the mind works and how to use that understanding to thrive.
My mentoring style is down to earth, compassionate, and designed to meet people where they are. We explore topics like sensory regulation, executive function, communication styles, emotional processing and workplace expectations in a way that feels relatable rather than clinical. Together, we translate theory into practical steps clients can actually use day to day.
Many early-career clients come to me wanting to understand themselves better, build self-trust, and develop strategies that support their wellbeing and performance. With psychoeducation as the framework, we unpack challenges without judgment and highlight strengths that often go unnoticed.
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself”
